01 / Our pick for flexible leg compression
Flytex V2

471,00 NOKFor the pair. Two sleeves, one for each leg.
Your session starts with intervals and ends with lunges. Flytex V2 gives you a stretch-compression layer across the knee and calf, without a separate kneecap pad or hinged frame to fit.
That combination is why it is our pick for runners who also do functional training and want garment-style compression. Pull on one sleeve per leg; there are no fastening straps to set.

THE FLYTEX V2 SUPPORT SYSTEM
Feel supported. Keep moving.
From your first stride to your last lunge, your knee needs to bend under load. Flytex V2 combines knee-and-calf coverage with flexible compression for a close, supported feel throughout your session.
- Support you feel around the knee
- The sleeve’s elastic tension applies gentle pressure around the leg. That close contact provides a tactile cue as you move: a feeling of being held around the knee, without a rigid frame controlling the joint.
- Designed for movement under effort
- As you bend and straighten your leg, the sleeve stretches with you. The aim is to combine a reassuring compression feel with the freedom needed for running, squats and lunges. No hinges to articulate. No fastening straps to adjust.
- Coverage that extends to the calf
- Flytex V2 continues below the knee, bringing knee-and-calf compression into one garment. The upper grip band helps keep the sleeve positioned, so the fit can follow your movement. Choosing the correct size is essential.
Two sleeves are included, one for each leg.
Compression provides external support; it does not take weight off the joint or replace prescribed bracing. Comfort varies, and persistent pain during exercise needs professional assessment.
Our verdict: Choose Flytex for a flexible, pad-free knee-and-calf setup. Choose a different construction if you specifically need a kneecap pad or brace-style joint control.
02 / The short training sleeve
CEP Mid Support

$40.00 USDCurrent WK115F1 model · Confirm included quantity
CEP combines a rear-knee knit zone designed for bending with silicone grips and moisture-wicking fabric. It is a running and training alternative for someone who wants compression concentrated around the knee.
Our verdict: limited coverage for a knee-and-calf setup. CEP stops around the knee. For runners who want compression extending down the calf, it leaves part of the desired coverage missing. Flytex V2 covers both areas in one sleeve, with two sleeves included.
03 / The kneecap-pad option
Bauerfeind Sports Knee Support

$89.99 USDOne support. $179.98 for two.
Bauerfeind's Omega Pad surrounds the kneecap and is designed to redistribute pressure during movement. It adds a contoured insert that Flytex does not have. This model is marketed for sports, including running.
Our verdict: a higher-cost option if you don’t need a kneecap pad. The contoured insert is its defining feature, but it does not provide Flytex V2’s extended calf coverage. For our run-and-gym setup, we prefer flexible knee-and-calf compression without a separate pad. Equipping both legs with Bauerfeind also costs $179.98 at the checked prices.
04 / The structural-brace option
Shock Doctor 875

$77.99 USDModel 875 · Listed brace
Side hinges, hyperextension stops and overlapping X-Fit straps make this a more involved setup than a pull-on sleeve. The stretch panel behind the knee is designed to allow movement, including crouching and running.
Our verdict: more brace hardware than a compression-focused session calls for. Bilateral hinges, hyperextension stops and fastening straps prioritize structural support. If you want a pull-on compression layer for repeated strides, squats and lunges, that adds fitting steps and components you may not need. Flytex V2 provides knee-and-calf compression without that hinged frame. If you need prescribed joint control, however, a sleeve is not a substitute.

How do I get the fit right?
Measure the widest part of your thigh and follow Flytex's size chart. Check the sleeve during easy walking and bending before training. Leg shape and sizing affect grip; silicone is not a universal no-slip guarantee.
What if I have a previous knee injury?
Ask your clinician or physical therapist whether compression is appropriate for you and how to use it. A previous injury does not automatically mean you need sleeves on both legs. Wearing a pair is not proven here to prevent compensatory injuries and does not replace rehabilitation or prescribed bracing.

How this guide was put together
Published and sponsored by Flytex. “The Gear Edit” is this buying guide's presentation title, not an independent publication. Flytex selected the products and recommendations. They reflect a preference for a particular training setup, not a universal performance ranking.
Specifications, intended uses and imagery come from manufacturer pages checked September 11, 2026. No head-to-head tests of weight, heat, slipping, comfort or sporting performance were conducted. Product photographs show construction, not results. This guide does not establish injury prevention, pain relief or improved race times.
Price notes
Flytex prices are loaded from the current product listing; the approximate per-sleeve price is half the pair price. Competitor prices are the September 11 snapshot. CEP pack descriptions conflict, so no pair price is inferred. All figures exclude offers, tax and shipping unless stated.
Do not replace prescribed bracing with a sleeve. Stop use if you develop pain, numbness, tingling or skin-color changes; consult a qualified clinician if you have a medical condition or are unsure about compression.
