Before you choose a size,
measure here.

Thinking about Flytex V2? This guide shows you where to measure, how to read the size chart and what a good fit should feel like—before you choose your pair.

The starting point: your upper thigh.

You have seen the sleeves. You know where you would wear them. The question now is practical: which size will fit your legs?

That deserves a clearer answer than “I usually wear a medium.” A sleeve needs to sit against your leg as you move. A T-shirt size, height or body weight does not tell you the circumference where its upper band sits.

Here is how to make that choice with a tape measure, a chart and a few checks you can actually use.

First, understand the fit

Why the thigh matters
for a knee-and-leg sleeve.

Flytex V2 covers more than the knee. The sleeve continues over the calf and finishes above the ankle; at the top, a silicone grip band sits around the thigh.

That is why Flytex’s size guide uses upper-thigh circumference. Measuring only around the kneecap gives you a number, but not the number this chart is designed for.

The goal is close, even contact with your leg—while you can still walk, bend and move comfortably.

A smaller label is not a shortcut to a better result. Fit should never be painful.

The grip band and stretch knit have different jobs: one helps hold the top in place, while the other follows the contours of your leg. Getting the measurement right is the starting point, not a guarantee that every body shape will feel the same.

01 / The measurement

Start high on the thigh.
Keep the tape level.

Use a flexible tailor’s tape on bare skin. Lift the edge of your shorts if needed so you can reach the widest part of your upper thigh.

Position reference: the tape goes all the way around the upper thigh. This is a circumference, not a straight-line width.
  1. Stand naturally and relax your leg.

Avoid flexing your thigh or measuring through clothing. You want the circumference of your leg in a relaxed standing position.

  2. Wrap the tape around the widest part.

Keep it level around the front, sides and back of your thigh. A mirror can help you check that it has not slipped lower behind your leg.

  3. Make contact without pulling tight.

The tape should lie flat against the skin, without a twist, a loose loop or a visible indentation. Read where the starting end meets the scale.

  4. Write it down, then check again.

Note both the number and the unit: inches or centimeters. If you will wear both sleeves, measure both thighs. Do not assume they are identical.

No tape measure? Use a non-stretch string to mark the circumference, then lay it flat against a ruler. If the result is close to a size boundary, recheck with a flexible tape before choosing.

02 / Read the chart

Turn your measurement
into a size recommendation.

Match your upper-thigh circumference to the published Flytex V2 ranges below. Use this guide for the knee-and-leg sleeves shown here, not for another Flytex product.

*Centimeters are approximate conversions of the published inch ranges, rounded to one decimal place. The inch ranges are the reference.

Find the size we recommend.

Enter your thigh measurement for a size recommendation, with a comfort-first suggestion when you are near the top of a range.

Your size recommendation will appear here.

No measurement is sent or saved. This is fit guidance, not a guarantee of comfort or fit. If your legs give different recommendations, ask Flytex before ordering a matching pair.

If you're between sizes: choose the smaller size for a firmer fit, or the larger size for greater comfort and extended wear.

At the upper end? Prioritize comfort. In the last ½ inch (about 1.3 cm) of a size range, this adviser suggests the next size up for comfort, when one exists. At a shared endpoint, it explains both sizes and recommends the larger one. Between the published ranges, it also suggests the next size up as its comfort-first recommendation. These are fit recommendations; the chart ranges above remain unchanged.

For example, 24 inches sits comfortably inside the XL chart range: choose XL. At 25 inches, you are at the top of XL: choose 2XL to prioritize comfort. At 22.5 inches, you are between L and XL: the comfort-first recommendation is XL.

The avoidable mistakes

Four ways a useful measurement becomes a guess.

Using your clothing size.

“Medium” does not mean the same measurement across garments. Use the tape reading for this specific guide.

Measuring near the knee.

This chart is based on the upper thigh. Moving the tape lower can give a different number and point you to the wrong range.

Pulling the tape into your skin.

You are measuring your leg, not compressing it. Keep the tape flat and in contact without tightening it like a strap.

Choosing smaller for “more support.”

Tighter is not automatically better. If a measurement is ambiguous, check it and ask for advice rather than sizing down on instinct.

03 / Once your pair arrives

Snug should still
let you move.

When you first put the sleeves on, take time to position the fabric evenly. Center the knee panel over your knee and smooth the sleeve along your thigh and calf. Leave the upper band flat rather than folded into a narrow ring.

Before a workout or a long day, walk a few steps and bend your knee gently. Notice how the sleeve feels and sits, not just whether you can pull it on.

  • At the top: the band sits flat, without rolling into a tight cord.
  • Around the knee: the fabric lies smoothly, without a thick fold gathering behind the joint.
  • As you move: you can walk and bend comfortably. If the sleeve repeatedly slides or bunches, check positioning and ask Flytex for fit help.
Pressure is not a reason to ignore discomfort.Remove the sleeves if you notice pain, numbness, tingling, skin-color changes or irritation. The silicone band may not suit sensitive skin. For an injury or medical condition, ask a qualified clinician whether compression is appropriate; a sleeve does not replace prescribed bracing or rehabilitation.

04 / Make an informed order

Know what comes in the pair—and what happens if it does not fit.

Getting the size right is the first decision. Understanding the offer and the conditions is the next. Keep these distinctions in mind when you reach the product page.

One pair means two sleeves.
One unit of the current Flytex V2 product contains two sleeves in the same size and color. Check the contents again if you select a multi-pair offer or a pack.
Size exchanges and returns differ.
The detailed return policy describes a first size exchange at Flytex’s expense if the sleeves are too big or slip. A second size exchange carries return-shipping costs and a charge of 30% of the product price. Contact Flytex to arrange an exchange.

Free return shipping is conditional.
Return Protection is an optional paid service offered at checkout. Without it, a processing fee may apply when you request a return. Eligibility and final-sale exclusions still apply. The detailed policy states 30 days from purchase, with proof of purchase required.

Check delivery for your address.
Review the available shipping methods, charges, applicable taxes and optional services before paying. If you need the sleeves for a specific event, ask Flytex about delivery before you place the order.
